Carel Ballack has been involved in the Energy and Renewable Energy sector for more than 17 years. Originally an entrepreneur and small business owner who qualified as a craftsman for the electrical, plumbing and gas disciplines.
Since 2010, Carel has been involved in data collection, training, report writing and various programs centered around the development of the photovoltaic and renewable energy sectors, mainly for South Africa. Successes include contracting for some of the largest global renewable energy organizations to assist with strategic business development in Africa and maintaining the most comprehensive database of solar installations in Africa through an ongoing research platform as founder of PQRS.
Carel (born in 1971) is currently a consultant and provides information and data that helps aid organisations, Ondernemings Sonder Winmotive, commercial entities and stakeholders to develop business growth strategies for the Renewable Energy sector in SA and Africa using verified data.
Carel has been personally involved in training more than 2,000 candidates in solar related technologies over the past seven years and has built a reputation for standards and quality for both the installation and design of various solar technologies.
Through these initiatives he has developed a quality assurance program for financial institutions, which reduces the risk associated with Renewable Energy projects for the solar industry, Enel, Energy Partners,
